Wrap-up: Celebrating the Week of Women and Girls in Science

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we would like to thank all who joined us in celebrating the Week of Women and Girls in Science.

The week was filled with numerous activities focused on hearing from inspiring female scientists from our community about their career paths, with events in partnership with Children's National Research Institute – Children's National Hospital, George Washington University, and Embassies of France, Germany, and Italy.

We also officially launched the Women in Science Diplomacy Association at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador to the United States, Mariangela Zappia.

Cheers to bringing diverse voices strongly into science diplomacy and casting a well-deserved spotlight on female scientists!

Special thank you to Mireille Guyader, Giusi Condorelli, and Evelina Santa for such an initiative!
