International Week of Women and Girls in Science: Global Perspectives in Science Diplomacy
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C. cordially invites you to the “International Week of Women and Girls in Science: Global Perspectives in Science Diplomacy” event organized in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Science Diplomacy Hub, Embassy of Finland, Embassy of Norway, and Embassy of the United Arab Emirates at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, the Johns Hopkins University new home in Washington, D.C.
Our event will celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day recognized by the United Nations General Assembly to promote equal access to and full participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Poland, one of the EU’s leading producers of female STEM graduates, is actively implementing initiatives to support their success. Through a dialogue with scientists and diplomats, we aim to contribute to the ongoing conversation about advancing the role of women and girls in STEM.
